This year at the Reykjavik Fashion Festival we sponsored Hildur Yeoman's runway show, supplying her with styles from our AW11 and SS12 collections. Her Xanadu inspired collection is one big party and everyone's invited!
Hildur Yeoman is an accessory turned clothing designer whose goal is to bring the fantasy land of her mind out into the real world. Her fantastical collection display turned dance party was the show to see at RFF and we are so excited to have been involved! Glitter and neon mesh body suits, face paint and out of this world accessories, Hildur's collection shone across the catwalk. The looks are based on Xanadu, a film turned satirical broadway play from the '80s tells the story of a frustrated starving artist and his run in with an Olympian muse. The story, as well as Hildur's collection, focuses on the supernatural being right here on earth, and explores themes of inspiration and true love. Xanadu is known for being over the top flamboyant and Hildur's collection expertly follows suit. The shoe featured a fantastic male singer accompanied by roller skating dancers, with it all topped off by Hildur's gorgeous models wildly strutting their stuff in glittery ensembles, pastel tights and Miistas! Below you can view the collection along with a video of the performance, enjoy!
