Bitching and Junkfood is an online shop that really understands you. With a name that describes what many of us do (and eat) at night on the couch in the middle of the week, this online shop stocks AH-MAY-ZING vintage and niche labels. In 2 weeks they are having a killer sample sale -- and we'll be there too!
It's funny how the internet brings people together. The world wide web can help computer addicted World of Warcraft playing teens from different corners of the universe find each other and fall in love. Ebay can help a housewife in Iowa find that one piece of discontinued China that completes her set even if the seller is in Bangladesh. Match.com can facilitate relationships between hardcore agoraphobics who never leave the apartment. Long lost friends, biological parents...you get the idea. But sometimes the internet brings together neighbors. And that's exactly what happened when Pixie Market helped Bitching and Junkfood find us!
In 2009 Kath and Marion founded Bitching and Junkfood and began drawing influence from subcultures, street fashion and the "instinct to drive trend direction." They started stocking some of the most interesting streetwear lines and entered into the vintage market as well. As the shop became more successful they expanded and began two in-house labels: REMADE and TWO WEEKS.

Remade is a line of reworked vintage clothing selling in stores across the globe including Urban Outfitters.

Two Weeks takes on the avant-garde; the collection of clothing and accessories premiered at London's 2010 Fashion Week. And in addition to all of this, the girls find time to style performers using their extensive collection of vintage and designer wares. Everything is run out of Netil House Studios in Hackney, East London -- right around the corner from us! We were so excited to find out that we have such rad neighbors.
The sample sale will be hosted by Bitching and Junkfood and will take place in The Platform on the third floor of Netil House Studios. The venue features a terrace which overlooks London Fields and there will be access to the Netil House 360 rooftop complete with mulled wine and delish winter cocktails!

All of this will take place December 10th from 10am to 5pm as part of the East London December Weekender and along with Netil House another studio in Hackney Downs will be participating. A range of mid to high end designers including Leopard by Belle Sauvage, Alexandra Groover, Kraezy Clothing, Accessory Freaks -- and of course Miista & Bitching and Junkfood! -- will be present and your credit cards will be accepted! Cash only sample sales can be such a bummer. DJ Nikki Beatnik will be on the turntables and will be bringing along some friends for the performance.

Samples sales are kind of the best part of December. It's like Christmas morning but you get to pick all your own presents. If you're in the area you really won't want to miss this. And if you aren't, live vicariously through the Londoners and peep Bitching and Junkfood's blog
-- it's so good it'll almost make you forget that you're not able to go.
